A Message from Mr Devlin

27th Mar 2020

Dear Boys and Girls,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the activities in your work packs. I am missing school as I'm sure you are too. You are probably missing your friends, your teachers, classroom assistants and all who work in our school. However, hopefully we will be able to get back together again soon.

I have been really impressed with the pictures that you have been sending to your teachers of all the amazing activities that you are doing at home. I have seen great examples of brilliant Maths work, Reading activities World Around Us activities and fabulous art work. I even saw some children painting stained glass windows in their house! This is really brilliant and your mums and dads must be very very proud of you. You are all so creative and have so many gifts and talents.

I can see that the P1 children are doing brilliant work in their sound books - working on the M sound at the moment and the number 8 in their Maths books. I even heard that some children have been making chocolate brownies! It's also great to see that you are making the most of the dry weather by going out for walks with your families. It's important to keep up the good exercise routine. Talk about exercise, I heard that lots of children and parents are doing the Joe Wicks exercise routine including Mrs Wood and Mrs Callan! I also like the Skill School Household Sports that Jake explains. I tried the basketball challenge without much success unfortunately! I love the David Walliams stories that are being put up on our Facebook. Have you listened to "The Terrible Triplets?"

There are so many activities going on and I'm so pleased that you are all being kept busy. I'm even more pleased to know that you are all being kept nice and safe as well. I'm going to keep in touch with you on a regular basis so please keep up the hard work, always show your best manners and be kind to your mammies and daddies. I know you will because you are all brilliant!

Hope to see you all soon.

Mr Devlin
