Dear Parents,
I am writing to inform you of a change to our arrangements for closure over the Christmas break. In the absence of any concrete decision making or guidance from the Education Minister which is in the best interests of our school community, I have made the decision to close the school on Friday 18th December for the start of our Christmas break. Half day arrangements will be in place for that day. This decision has been made in agreement with our school Board of Governors.
While our school will remain open for our children next week, we fully understand that some parents may wish to keep their children at home for part or all of next week due to Covidrelated concerns as we approach Christmas. For this reason, the teachers will not be introducing any new concepts next week so the children will not be missing out on any new learning opportunities.
These arrangements will remain in place unless we hear otherwise from the Minister for Education.
We hope that the school will re-open for the children on Thursday 7th January 2021 as planned.
