Success at Derry and Pennyburn Credit Union Quiz
A Big Congratulations to the 36 children (9 teams) who took part in the Credit Union Quiz on Monday 30th January in St. Mary’s College. 5 teams took part in the Under 11 Competition and 4 teams took part in the Under 13 Competition. All of the children worked really hard and represented our school so well on the night of the quiz.
In the Under 11 Section, our 5 teams took the top 5 places out of 17 teams, taking first place and runner-up in both the Derry Credit Union and Pennyburn Credit Union Competitions. Well Done!
Our two first placed teams will proceed to the next stage pf the competition which will take place in Letterkenny in March. In the Under 13 Competition, our teams also fought off stiff competition from other primary and post-primary teams. The 4 teams were placed in the top 6 places out of 18, with one team taking first place in the Pennyburn Credit Union Competition and another placed runner-up in the Derry Credit Union Competition. The winning team will join the two Under 11 teams in the Chapter Stage in March.
