Dancing with the Stars
What an amazing morning we had today when Damian McGinty and his dance partner Kylee Vincent came to visit our school. Damian is a past pupil of St. Patrick’s and we were delighted to have him back with us again. Damian is currently in the semi-finals of RTE’s Dancing with the Stars.
Damian chatted to the boys and girls and answered lots of questions. He told the children about how nervous he was doing the show but how he loves going on stage and doing the dances every week especially when he know that everyone at home wants him to do well. He gave the boys and girls great advice. He told them that if they want to get better at something they should ‘listen to your teachers and work hard’ and most importantly you have to practise and believe in yourself. He gave a special big wave to his nephew and niece who are his biggest fans in the audience.
Damian and Kylee taught all the boys and girls a few dance moves and the whole hall was up dancing - we spotted a few future superstars. We couldn’t let Damian leave without giving us a song and he had the whole hall singing.
Thank you to Damian and Kylee, along with AnnaClaire and Stephen who came to visit today. A special thank you to Gemma for arranging today. It was a very proud moment for Damian’s teachers to have him back in the school. We want to wish Damian and Kylee all the luck from St. Patrick’s for the semi final on Sunday and we ask for all of our school community to vote for them on Sunday. They definitely get a 10 from all in St. Patrick’s.
