International Mother Languages Day
21st Feb 2025
Today was International Mother Languages Day. This special day highlights the importance of linguistic heritage and cultural identity.
It serves as a global reminder of the need to protect and promote languages that are at risk of disappearing, fostering respect for multilingualism and cultural diversity.
One of our wonderful grandparents came in today to teach Irish to the children in Room 22. They had lots of fun playing a game teaching them to say eye and hair colours in Irish. Children in room 14 also had fun learning the colours in Irish too.
