Upon a successful application to the Schools's Energy Programme 2014/15 (DENI), we have had solar photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of our school.
These panels collect solar energy and convert it into electricity. The power generated can be used by our school and any excess electricity can be exported back onto the electricity grid.
We are glad to be saving money and protecting the environment by having a working example of renewable technology in our school!
