Friends of St Patrick's

The Friends of St Patrick's

The Friends of St Patrick's Association aims to forge links between the school and parents through fundraising activities, fun activities for pupils and social functions for families. The Friends Association also raises much needed funds to support learning and the school environment.

Who can be a friend of St Patrick's Primary School

All parents and members of the school community can get involved if they want to, even if they only have a small amount of time available. All parents are automatically members of the association when their child joins the school.

The work of 'FRIENDS' so far

The Friends Association is conscious of the ethos of the school and we try to reflect this in all our activities.  Not all our events are fundraisers with some events aimed at the children's enjoyment and involvement of school families.

These are some of the events and support services organised so far:

  • Christmas Draw
  • School Fun Day Primary One Christmas Tree Decorations
  • Discos School White Boards
  • Texting Service Extra Paper and Glue
  • Clothes recycling Play Ground Development
  • Teacher Support on Trips Christmas & Easter Draws

How to get involved?

There is a Friends of St Patrick's Committee consisting of both parents and teachers who meet occasionally to organise events and fundraising.

It is important to maintain a current list of volunteers willing to assist with key events during the year with vacancies on the committee being advertised when required.

We welcome the help of all family members who wish to take an active part in St Patrick's School.

If you wish to become active as a Friend of St Patrick's, just contact a member of school staff and leave your contact details
